Racism & xenophobia, Racist violence & crime, Hate speech, Extreme far-rightMiltos Pavlou of i-RED gives his own bleak assessment of the current political context in Europe, based on xenophobic and racist attitudes taking place recently in Greece, France and Norway, among others. He focuses on increasing hate speech and crimes against minorities, and on the unfulfilled promises of an inclusive Europe. This raises attention to the need to be cautious of passive acceptance of ‘othering’ techniques used by some to maintain hierarchies and positions of power.
